Like every island destination, there are ideal seasons to visit Zanzibar, especially if diving visibility is important to you. The best months to go are between July and August and in February and March when the water is the clearest if you intend to don your dive gear. Since it is a tropical location all year round, the island experiences a delightful cool dry temperature during the usual dry season (June to October), which is so popular for a safari in East Africa. The hottest months are December through February.
