So a lot has evolved over the years and the beauty industry is one of those industries that have some of the most evolved and trending ideas on daily basis. The evolution of hairdos over the years proves that “change is indeed constant” However one thing I have noticed in the beauty industry as a beautician is things do not really change per se, they just upgrade, Sounds confusing right? I mean who wouldn’t think that But I think most things trending in the beauty and fashion industry already existed even before some of us were born right, and we only grew up to upgrade and do them better, this is actually my own theory, some of you might think it differently, seeing we come from a different culture and have been taught different things, and a lot of cultures have been able to put out things that the whole world appreciates and want to wear, especially from “Africa”.
In today’s article we are concentrating on Hairdos, as an African, I know most of the world’s best Hairdos was originally started by Africans and is still worn and appreciated by cultures all over the world today, and may never go out of trend any time soon. To see that we are creating more trends of such, by taking from the old style and making it better is even more Accomplishing. Let us talk about some of these Hairdos that may never go out of style in the coming centuries. Winks!

- Braids: Braids have always been a lifestyle of a young African girl, from a very young age, it is part of the culture, and it evolves as we grow. Over the years, a lot of creativity has come to light when it comes to braids, and a lot of cultures now accept braids. It is surely one of those styles that are not leaving the industry and soon, we can see more creativity every single day.
- Ponytail: not only is this one of the easiest styles to carry on, but its versatility is also amazing, it suits a lot of occasions, as a gorgeous feel to it, and it one of those styles you can rock even to the grandest of ceremonies.
- Twists: Twists are like a different variation of braids, it is a great protective hairstyle, I know a lot of naturalists like to rock twists a lot in different ways, especially because it can give the hair curls after untwisted
- Cornrows/Weaves: Everybody loves cornrows, Ha! I think so, I never saw a hairdo that is so lightweight, free, easy to rock, and yet can be made into a piece of elegant beauty, how exaggerative, smirks! But hey, you would agree with me right, the transitioning of cornrows to weaves, it an Art trust me, all hail this hairdo, haha, and its definitely one of those styles that is here to stay. Winks!
- Buns: like ponies, this is one of those hairdos you can rock to anywhere, its elegance in its simplicity is so amazing, it looks so cute on kids tho! Winks!
