5 EFFECTIVE DIY FACIALS AT HOME

A facial is not only an enjoyment for many people, it is also a great way to maintain healthy skin. Our skin cells regenerate every two to three weeks. Doing facial once or twice a month is essential to keep skin healthy and retain a radiating complexion. A DIY facial at the comfort of your home is economical and relaxing. There are 5 steps included in this at-home practical facial: cleanse, steam, massage, facial mask and moisturize.

Daily face cleanse for a healthy skin/bio with thysiamore

Cleanse.

Pull your hair back from your face. Wash your face with gentle cleanser. If your face is not too sensitive, using a gentle facial exfoliator is recommended. Exfoliating removes outer layer of dead skin, and reveals smoother and newer skin. It helps the skin to better absorb the nutrient from your skin care product, a beneficial step to maintain healthy skin.

Steam.

Steaming opens the pores to release grime, and softens the outer layer of the skin. If you don’t have a facial steamer at home, boiling water will also work for you. Fill bathroom sink with steaming hot water and cover your head with a towel to envelop the steam to the face. Steam for maximum 10 minutes, then pat dry with a clean towel. You should minimize steaming time if you have severe acne problem because it could aggravate the already active oil glands.

Massage.

Choose a desired facial massage cream or oil. Use finger tips to gently massage face and neck in circular and upward strokes. You can add a drop of essential oil for more relaxing aroma. Massage for ten to fifteen minutes. Facial massage can relax facial muscle and improve circulation. It can reduce puffiness around the face and increase the blood flow to keep skin healthy.

Facial Mask.

Facial Mask is the easiest way to maintain healthy skin with multi-tasking. The facial mask products in general fall in 2 categories: deep hydrating and deep cleansing. By applying the facial mask on the face for twenty minutes, it can remove excess oil, supply concentration of nutrients, intensely moisturize the skin or even minimize the appearance of the pores in less than half an hour. Rinse the face thoroughly to reveal the refreshed, energized skin.

Moisturize.

In the last step, apply moisturizer of you choice to cover entire face and neck for continuous nourishment for the rest of the day. Apply sun screen during the day time before going out. You will find your skin more supple and revitalized after an invigorating home facial.
